In Greene County district court Zachary Alan Fox, 36, of Des Moines was sentenced to 10 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. He must pay sheriff’s room and board fees for the time he serves. He was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge; both were suspended. Court costs were $140. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)
Adam James Stilson, 20, of Polk City, pleaded not guilty to charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon to injure/provoke or cause fear, harassment- first degree, criminal mischief- third degree, and reckless use of firearm causing property damage. A trial date was set of Jan. 23.
Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Justin Ray Lopez, 19, of Jefferson, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness- first offense, and in a separate case, manufacture, deliver or possess marijuana with intent to deliver; Ryan James Brown, 45, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- second offense, and in a separate case, eluding and driving while license barred; Jesus Moises Zuniga Jr, 18 of Jefferson, manufacture, deliver or possess marijuana with intent to deliver; Jose Trinidad Hernandez, 41, of Grand Junction, domestic abuse assault impeding air flow; Edward Eugene Goff Sr, 39, of Jefferson, operate vehicle without owner’s consent; Mark Henry Morrow, 57, of Carson, possession of methamphetamine-third or subsequent offense; and Cynthia Marie Clousing, 29, of Ida Grove, criminal mischief- fourth degree.
